What could be cuter than a petite teddy in pink...why a petite pink teddy with a beret! I am absolutely in love with this little teddy. While she is every bit a little girl, Bootsie is ready to play stick ball on a neighborhood street with all those little boy bears. Bootsie is fashioned from a beautiful, soft pink Schulte mohair. Peering out from that beautiful fur and her news"gal" cap, Bootsie's face has a hand-plucked upper muzzle and a carefully trimmed lower muzzle. Needle sculpting and deep-set hand-blown glass eyes add to her wonderful expression. Of course, she has a meticulously hand-embroidered nose and mouth. Bootsie's inner ears are lined with ultrasuede. Her ultrasuede paw and oversized footpads (her feet are almost shoulder high!) have been needle sculpted with fingers and toes. Like all well-fed teddies, Bootsie has a nice big tummy! She is stuffed with a combination of polished steel shot, glass beads and polyester polyfil. She will feel wonderful sitting in the palm of your hand. And, adding to her charm is her wonderful beret with bill...and yes, I crocheted it myself from a full-size, adult beret pattern. Bootsie also is wearing her pewter baby boot around her name.
